Genesis of Ethical Web Design

Ethical Web Design began with a local Winnipeg web designer named Mikhail Kolybaba.  Mikhail is an environmentalist, and has volunteered for various environmental organizations for several years.

 

Mikhail found that most non-profit organizations are lacking technological prowess, but they do not have the funds to hire professional designers and IT support.  To remedy this, he started Ethical Web Design, a business with a vision: to provide affordable, high quality web design to organizations which deserve it.

 

Mikhail been providing high-quality web design and IT support services since 2003.  He works as the IT Systems Manager of the Manitoba Eco-Network, and is currently studying engineering at the University of Manitoba. 

Our Ethical Actions

At Ethical Web Design, we pride ourselves on our ethical practices.

  • Our firm and our websites are carbon negative, and contribute to reforestation efforts
  • We donate a portion of our revenues to local charities
  • Ethical Web Design is a local Manitoban venture, and we seek to support local businesses and designers wherever possible
  • We offer special rates to organizations which carry out positive environmental, social, or humanitarian missions
